Police in the area have therefore issued advice on how drivers could best avoid becoming a victim of vehicle crime. They suggested that motorists ensure they only park in safe and well-lit areas to ensure they do not attract unwanted attention from would-be thieves.
Lorna Watson, the south eastern crime reduction officer, also suggested that using security devices is a good way to deter opportunistic criminals. She explained that it takes just one minute for a car thief to steal property left inside a vehicle. “It takes a lot longer and can be frustrating for the owner to deal with the insurance company, have any damage to the vehicle repaired or to arrange alternative transport,” she explained.
Meanwhile, a customers of car insurance companies in Buxton were recently warned by police that they may need to step up their vehicle security measures following an increase in the number of people attacked by vandals.

The Kayak Fishing ClassicS is pleased to announce their next tournament.The Homosassa Hazard, Extreme Tarpon Classic is scheduled for May 21 & 22.The Host Sponsor is the famous Bayport Inn located at 4835 Cortez Blvd. In Weeki Wachee, Florida. The famous Bayport Inn has been serving great seafood and family meals for years and is well known along the Gulf Coastal area of Florida.The scheduled launch location is on Pine Island just a few minutes from the inn. The contestants will have a short paddle to the famed Oklahoma Flats where huge tarpon are known to be. The waters can be treacherous to power boaters due to the hidden rocks and boulders in the area. This is Tarpon Country and the kayak fishermen are going to have their hands full.The Kayak Fishing ClassicS series is a catch and release series. Fish are caught, photographed and released, thus the acronym; CPR Tournament.
